    The ghost is like the shape of a Christmas tree and the boot at the base of the tree, The movement of the person crossing the road has made a blured image, a car just behind the figure in background.

    I think its one decade earlier Gerry Looking at the vehicle I would say more 1920s than 30s, narrow tyres! and clothes too. I may be wrong but thats my guess:-) I like the boot in the middle of the road and the ghostly apparition!

    Sometime time ago I heard that the plans were the front facade only was going to be saved and a shop behind to be built, maybe they can save a bit more than front skin only, I remember seeing photos of the inside decor and it looked great, art decor style, maybe the photos done it justice...

    Hi Wendy I just looked and see Geraldine road close by, that was mentioned earlier on this thread. Reading post here it seems that all points to Holiday in express plus one or two possibly minor sites. Interesting!

    HI Wendy Thank you for looking , I have searched many times but only came up with facebook page saying Burgess and Garfield Hays Mills, maybe a photo might turn up one day, it was wher my 1925 car was that was used for Carolina brothers wedding, I was so very thankful to receive these...

    So is this concluse the agreed site that once stood Burgess and Garfield, one facebook page give the impression it was at Hays Mills another post here suggests its where the New Inn is today. Wish a photo appears on the horizon.

    My father worked at the GPO , Tabner house, Croydon. My mother and Sister worked at the Nestles building close by. :-)

    If anybody comes across a photo of Burgess and Garfield, Coventry rd garage, I would like so see please. I believe the New Inn is on that site now.

    My car Ive named Mrs Maymore the Mascot on the front : Made at 120 Leopold Street Birmingham by Padmore and May Brass founders, given at Christmas as paper weights but now rare collectable and used as mascots. Mr maymore has large nose and smokes a pipe.
