    sorry got mixed up...he lodged with them in Alvechurch in 1861...but cant find a Dog Lane there but a lot of roads are animal names .

    Yes I do have this thanks.....Good news on the cert...it is him but apart from the new name it's not giving me any connections other than the person in attendance at his death who is someone he lodged with in Long Crendon in 1861....think the whole household came to Alvechurch to work and live.

    Thanks - I never saw the reserve but probably didn't know you could click up and down records then. Its not looking promising that the records are for Dad. But I know he did mention about going to India which lead to a fascination for collecting their coinage.

    Thanks...I found the Artillery one years ago and only that card (no other pages) and never found it again since. Also cant see where it says tracer card on the TA pages....it says he got a War Medal for 39-45 so should be a record out there...hopefully
