The problem is nothing seems to happen to anyone, other than to the victims. It would be nice if a bit more importance could be placed on these scams by those responsible for them occasionally being brought to justice. The chances of that happening to those operating from the UK seem to be slim...

Another parking scam was highlighted on Central News last night. Drivers are being warned of a scam featuring fake QR codes stuck on pay and display ticket machines in local car parks. Apparently the machines are claimed to be out of order and drivers are asked to pay by scanning the QR code...

Yes, I should have known. I was working around there at the time and seem to remember that happening. I had nothing to do with it though governor.. :cool: .

The wording of this scam is bad enough and you are 100% correct the wording is a real give away, but the last line says it all. Whoever wrote this and sent it out, really is the lowest of the low, their parents would be so proud....

Seems a pity that they weren't able to close it and then do the necessary repairs, in order to be able to provide extra hospital places, and start to reduce the ever growing NHS waiting lists.

Piles of rubbish left around the pub and the building, like too many others was left as a clear target for people who have nothing better to do with their time than to commit arson, in the safe knowledge...
