She lived at 7 High Street, Broom, Warwickshire and was survived by her husband William Ernest Pagett, a retired metal designer.     I remember the shop you mention Morturn. I passed it many times in the late 50s or early 60s. I couldn't remember its name though. I recall the cobwebs and some yellowing window shades presumably to keep the sun off the books. From memory it was in the row of shops indicated on the attached map.

    JudiM, you mention that your grandfather had boxing friends. There are several news reports of a Frank Lees, an amateur boxer belonging to the Metropolitan Amateur Club, Saltley. However, one of the reports is of a fight in 1928 when your Frank would have been only 13 years old.
