    RosemaryB, Have you used the search top right hand of this page to search for both area's, ?, if you are still unable to find any photo's of Park Road, I have a few on my facebook group site " AstonBrook Through AstonManor " but I would try the search on here first you will get better replies.

    When Dunn's closed down it was reopened as a pet shop. 142A Park Lane, my sister almost lived in that shop, animal mad she was. Ray Griffith photo.

    Miss Rock or Mrs Rock retired around 1963 which I suspect when she reached 60, therefore I do not think the Miss/Mrs Rock was the one from Burlington Street. but I could be wrong.

    The Globe was the first pub I went in for a drink and to play darts, me and three other lads all under age, 15 I think I was, and the only customers the pub had during weekday evenings, we all fell in love with the barmaid, she was probably three times our ages but we loved her.

    The building is just past where Harpers shop was, you can just make out a white frontage building, I think that was the one. corner of Clarendon Street and Park Lane

    John, I think I have found the building , there is a large building between Sutton Street and Clarendon Street, close to where Harpers had their fruit and veg shop, looking at a few maps and Britain from Above web site I am sure the building may have been the mystery school, in my time there...

    There is only one building on Park Lane which could have been used as a school in my lifetime living in that area, and that would have been the Gospel Hall, situated between Thomas Street and Sutton Street. I was born and raised in Clarendon Street
