    I would say it was pre war 2.....there is another photo in this group set with an old gentleman sitting on a bench which I believe is taken from the Miller Street end of the park ( known as Blews Street Park )....I think this view is from St Stephens Street, and the houses you can see are on...

    Wallins Wood yard was on the corner of Talford Street and Phillips Street.....I last spoke to Jean Wallin a few years ago about the death of Robert Gouldingay, I didn't know Jean, but I knew Robert....he was a couple of years older than myself....

    Mr Parker was the headmaster at Upper Thomas Street.....I also had Miss Rock in the infants....., I don't know if you are on facebook at all, because there is a group for Upper Thomas Street on there, and a good one to be a member of is Astonbrook-through -Astonmanor, I know the admin on here...

    No....The house / yard faced Burlington Street......you could say it was half way between Park Lane and Upper Webster Street......That would be number 34a.....There wasn't a number 84a....the last house number was 62.....

    The Ansell Shield used to hang on the wall facing the headmasters office, it was quite a large trophy ....I have always wondered what ever happen to that and the other cups etc which the school won ....
