Police Site Tally Ho! to change beyond recognition.

To be honest I agree with Mikejee. I am not the least bit surprised, criticism of the Police has been running rife of late. This is primarily a training centre and needs to be reclaimed in order to expand their training of officers and meet there target of reducing their overall costs by a £30m...

    Street furniture

According to Janice's site the they only produced 50 K4's. The stamp machine was noisy and interfered with telephone calls. Guess the 1930's one in #871 was very large was replaced by the one in my photo which I think is a K6...I may be totally wrong.

    The Crooked House at Himley

Just been looking, I cannot see it as listed. It was originally built as a farm house in 1765 and officially became a public house in 1830, originally being called Siden House( Siden is black country dialect for crooked(out of place)). Think it then became Glynne Arms. Be very sad to see it go.

Swift Cheylesmore made in Birmingham. But where?

Just found this old advert for Swift cycles on google search. It refers to Birmingham but does not state if Swifts were manufactured here or just an outlet for sales. Refers to 77 Colmore Row
