    When my mother-in-law died about eight years ago a nurse at Heartlands phoned my wife and informed her 'I'm sorry to say that your mother has taken her last breath.' My wife said 'you mean she's dead' to which the nurse replied 'well shall we say she has passed on!

    Collected seeds from two poppies last autumn and sowed them three weeks ago. Seeds should be sprinkled onto damp compost and lightly pressed in but must not be covered.

    My great-grandmother lived at 134 St Benedicts Road from about 1921 to 1928. Looks a bit different today - the only bits that seem to be the same are the black bricks (?) under the upstairs windows.
