    Iodine is sold under the brand name Betadine over her in Australia ! Dont ask why I dont know! its just Iodine, used for cleaning wounds and getting rid of bacteria in a wound, think we pay more for the brand name as its not cheap grrr

    Hi Smudger, my hairdresser Heather had thyroid problems a while back and had to have a special treatment and was radioactive for 2 weeks after the treatment and she stayed at her brothers house for 2 weeks as she couldn't be around her kids. She is all good now.

    We watch a lot of english shows on Australian abc channel. Doc Martin, Midsomer murders, Father Brown, Call the Midwife,Touch of Frost,New tricks, Grand Designs, Shetland, Loved Home Fires but it got cut :( most programs have been on a dozen times before!...guess that gives you an idea haha

    I remember my mum used to boil all the neck and innards that were packed in the end of a chicken when you bought one and then used to use the water for the gravy! Do they still put the innards and necks in the chickens now? They had to make use of everything didnt they?

    I love oxtail stew too but you never see oxtails for sale here in Australia either, they dont know what they are missing :(
