Had another look at the photo it looks pre-war it wouldn,t fit the buildings were still on Broad St in the 60-70s.I,m just wondering if they built Bingley Hall there.Dek
I,m not so sure about the kilns being for bricks,( maybe very early on)We covered a thread on this.The area the other side of Deritend,Montigue St and Bordesley were covered in quarries and kilns.Dek
The closest is St Mathews on Gt Lister St but I very much doubt if burials were still being carried out in 1950.I would think at that time Witton would be the most likely. Dek
Hello Lyn I have had a good look at this and I think it could be the bottom end of Summer Row it looks to run down hill to a fork in the road to the left would be the Parade leading onto the Sandpits (the tram route) to the right would be Newhall Hill leading to the Jewellery Quarter the road on...
