There appears to be quite a few anomalies on the map we have Cuckoo Lane as well but what has caught my eye is Safford House and Safford Bridge could these be spelling errors?Dek
How strange is that I never remember Woolworths being on that side of the road probably because I was an apprentice on The Colonnade Site when it was built on the opposite side of the road. I would have been about 19 at the time so about 1962

Wendy what a lovely post card that,s Margaret St I think taken from Edmund St very early as there is no sign of the Museum and council house on the opposite corner. Dek
Thanks Jim It mentions Flats in Stone Rd (which is just round the corner from where the cinema was)but also65/66 Wheeleys Rd(as mention by other posters)but this is a mile from the cinema.still not sure. Dek
A little good news on Tufnol they have only knocked down the 1st building down than ran along side Aston Lane it appears that the other block is still up and running.Dek
