    Well Lyn I believe they are the same School at different angles don,t think it,s any of the King Edwards all though I would say a Grammar School as the playing fields has a number of Rugby pitches.Just a guess again maybe Saltley Grammar on Belchers |Lane.Dek

    I don.t think it is 60s The Renault garage in the background was not built till later.But then again I don,t think it is 80s the vehicles look older than that.I wonder if repairs were required at some time in the 70s that crane looks quite modern too. Dek

    In the50s the 29 terminated at the Trees Pub on the Queslett Rd going from the Kingstanding Circle up and over Kettlehouse Rd it later got extended along Collingwood Drive. The 28 was a outer circle bus terminating at the end of Dyas Rd Kingstanding to Erdington,up the Chester Rd to Stechford...

    A good point on the Minories I thought of that but what turned me away was the distance the Minories hardly comes any where near the 150 yds mentioned also would this be regarded as a heavy traffic route.Dek

    Sorry James I,m not that clever But lets hope someone else can. From the map it shows the house on the Witton side of the railway but I know for sure the line is cut through a deep gulley at that point I would say it was on the top of the hill between the railway the the old GEC sport grounds.     O.K. James at least it was there pre 1866 as the railway appears to cut through the grounds. I think it,s a good assumption to say the house was there considerably earlier than that date.The map shows 2 buildings within the grounds maybe stables or maybe the plot got broken up due to the railway...
