    I can remember that a Comet Electrical was on the site of the Tivoli and a bank on the corner of Lily Road. Must have been 70’s.

    I think the cul de sac you mean was Milton Crescent, which lead to Hardings bakery. In have just looked on Google and it is still there but with no name. I used to go to Hardings on a Saturday looking to help one of the drivers for the day, I also used to go to Saturday matinee at the Tivoli.

    I remember a transport yard, used by Mcfarland Lang and Mcvitie biscuits next to the Atlas. It may have been just a deot, I do not think they baked the biscuits there.

    They are putting 2 traffic islands in, one where the snooker club and one further up on Flaxley Road. There will be a dual carriageway from the snooker club island across the river to the Burney Lane island and lots of road widening around the island. About time too.

    Yes, long gone. The Stechford baths that opened in1962 has been replaced and is now awaiting demolition.

    The Saltley baths were in George Arthur Road. We used to go there with the school until Stechford Baths opened.

    I just Googled CVP 108 and found another photo of this bus in New Street. This doesnt help solve the puzzle. Its just another photo of the same bus. I tried to post it but got a message saying that it was too big.

    Opposite Aldi on Warwick Road, Acocks Green, is a building with an archway. On one side is Icing World, and on the other is Premier Collections. Does any one have any info, please?

    Hi Gerry. The notes may have been written in 1976 but those Chelmsley Wood bus routes started a few years before that. I used to have to catch them to get home.
