    Pool Way Post Office opened in 1961. It’s not there now, the grounds all flat, and below it is the man in a bowler hat. My mum had to go to Lea Village P.O. for Family Allowance etc.before that. I think until that time the Post Code was B26a, then became B33 after the opening.

    I didn’t mean an actual train set. I meant the decorative Christmas scene with a train (American) running through it. I wouldn’t Rod Stewart’s train set though. Even that was American.

    I remember when people formed an orderly queue at bus stops. Nowadays it is like being in the middle a rugby scrum when the bus arrives. They do not wait for people to get off.

    The bus garage building is still there, but not in use as a bus garage. The cinema was the Kingston, which became a bingo hall and then closed and demolished.
