I just love the artwork and logo's for some of these,so evocative of those times !

I too loved the Panto's.My dad worked at Land Rover and each Christmas the works took the children to the Hippodrome or the Alexandra to the panto.It was one of the high points of the year.We saw some top stars over the years,Including Norman Wisdom i was a huge fan of his as a child.I still...

For the princley sum of 2/6 on a Saturday ,I had the job of putting padded seat covers on the seats in the directors box at Birmingham city Football Club so that their delicate little botties diddn't go numb.Then after the match,go back and remove and stack all those still warm cushions,lovely.

He is still working the club circuit on the Costa Del Sol and the cruise ships.

The short guy turning to speak on the far right in the first photo looks like Norman Wisdom. lol !

I remember it well formula t,it was very popular in its day.We had a lot of works do's there.I cant remember many acts but i do recall Bob Monkhouse being very good and a bit blue.

I found this old image in a book of clipings that once belonged to a relative of mine and thought it may be of interest.I hope that i have posted in the correct place. I think the date was November 23rd 1940.

Thanks oldmohawk,I think the second picture was 1970 or 71.Stuart Pass would know,he has visited this site.Maybe he will see it and let us know sometime.
