There are a LOT of photo's on the site and I am not very adept with loading/downloading,so not sure I can help much.The photos are mostly from ice dance competitions but the backgrounds do show a lot of how 'Rusties' was and gives a good feel of the special atmosphere it had.

I think the Rebecca's brassarie entrance was in john bright street and the main club entrance was in Lower Severn Street.Pretty sure it became "Boogies" after that.
Well it's about time,lets hope it gets well suported.I think that the original rink & bowling alley were opend by Eric Sykes and Hattie Jaques.I hear Erics still available for re-booking.
You are right Lyn,I lived in Tilton Road untill 1967 and worked in the area untill the mid 1970's and "Raggie"Allens in Garrison Lane was still going strong then,you could often see Rag & Bone men going to and from his yard.

Love the photo's Max.I remember the row of shops in Garrison Lane very well.I think the dog is standing on the corner of Gordon Street where we lived in the mid '50s and then moved to Tilton Road.My schoolmate's parents ran the Royal George pub in the mid '60s,I loved the mixture of smells in...
