    The cinema at the top of New Street was the Forum,it was a nice one but I remember going there upstairs and the seats were very high,so when anybody stood up it felt like you were going to fall over the seat in front. Midge

    Lucas Parties & Pantomimes

    I remember Lucas Christmas Parties at Formans Road,my Dad worked there on the Batteries for forty odd years,until his retirement in 1968. My sister & I used to look forward to them & of course seeing Father Christmas, and getting a present. Midge

    Hi PMC1947 Thankyou for the photos of the cinemas,it brought back lovely memories. One of the Films I remember being shown in those days at the Waldorf was Golden earrings,starring Ray Milland. Keep up the good work.
