The cinema at the top of New Street was the Forum,it was a nice one but I remember going there upstairs and the seats were very high,so when anybody stood up it felt like you were going to fall over the seat in front.

I remember Lucas Christmas Parties at Formans Road,my Dad worked there on the Batteries for forty odd years,until his retirement in 1968.
My sister & I used to look forward to them & of course seeing Father Christmas, and getting a present.

One of the Films I remember being shown in those days at the Waldorf was Golden earrings,starring Ray Milland.

Do you remember the Roller Rink in Walford Road, I used to go there every week with my cousin,when I was in my Teens(Oh happy days):)
Those were the days,my local Cinemas Robin Hood,Rialto both Hall Green.
Piccadilly and Waldorf Sparkbrook.
Another two I used to go to Carlton - Sparkhill & Kingsway - Kings Heath.
I was an usherette at the Robin Hood as an evening job in the 50's.
Also there was the Springfield which didn't...
