    It's a scan of the original, i don't quite know why it's gone distorted, didn't realise when i did it, i'll see if i have the original and rescan it, if not will get dad to do it later for me if it's at his, be great if it is her. I notice none of them look particularly happy lol

    Grandad was born 1925 he lived on Ellen Street for some time. I only clicked it would be him when an old neighbour said oh i went to Ellen Street same as your Grandad, then i knew it was him, just had to find him lol

    It would be nice if she was Dib, took me a while to work out which one was my late Grandad, but got there eventually, wasn't sure if it was my nan at first as i've never seen the picture before, found it whilst searching threw my late Nans things, also found his school report from Burberry...

    My family lived on Wheeler Street for many years, they had some great times there before they moved out when it was cleared. There's lots of photos around on the site of the old street :)

    Thanks Len, I will give them a try, it would be nice if we could get them, but if we can't, to just know what ones he would have had would be just as good :) I know nan had the information but it's been lost now :(

    Thanks Ray, my grandad never talked about the war and nan said it was because he lost so many men and saw things he couldn't get over, he never collected his medals, so i'm now trying to work it all out from pictures and his record book that i found whilst sorting my late nans things last week...

    Thanks Ray, he was also in the Camaronians so that ties in, my nans family were scottish, so maybe that's why he went into those regiments? He was in the G.S.C then Oxford & Bucks then the H.L.I and then the Camaronians.

    On my Grandads WW2 record of service papers it say's he was in the G.S.C and H.L.I (I assume infantry), does anyone know what they were, thanks :)

    This is a class photo of my Grandad taken in 1930/1931 at Ellen Street School, did anyone's family go there during those years, maybe they are in the photo?? My Grandad is in the third row back, fourth from the right, handsome little chappy wasn't he :)

    Re: Martha Chadwick Linda, thanks for that, she said in 1899 at her marriage she was 19, that clearly proves she wasn't, she disappears for nearly 20 years after then turns up under Annie, bless her she's making things difficult lol Bo that's fabulous, thankyou, I know the last three are her...
