    Donna, Pat will be around 60 now all i know is that she is married to Ray & what made me reply to your post was the fact that im pretty sure she has a daughter called Donna !     Never mind thanks anyway Cromwell its only just very recently that i have found out i had a gt gt uncle that served in the war maybe i have the wrong regiment but he was definately Charles Wallace b.1889 of the Aston/Nechells area.

    Reading your posts on the Frederick Woolley factory makes me think of my grandparents Rene & Bunny (Bernard) Wallace, they worked there for years & took their retirement from there in 1981 and 1982. I wonder if anyone remembers them. :)

    It's quite funny to imagine my gt grandad probably propping the bar up every night if that was their local boozer ! Ive passed there many a time but have never been in. Isn't Heathmill Lane where Birds Custard was or round about there somewhere ? ;)

    :) :) Thanks Jacqueline & Cromwell i might go and take a look next time im there. So its on Heathmill Lane ! That makes me smile because ive only recently found out that my great grandparents at that time were living at number 77 so i guess they had no problem in getting to the church on time ...

    Could anybody tell me where about in Deritend St Basils Church was & if it is still there. My great grandparents, Alfred Bick & Alice Twittey were married there in 1912. I would love to see a picture of what it used to look like if there is one available. Also was it used for burials ? Thanks.

    Cromwell thanks for giving me info on the Birmingham Pals website, your mate Terry was a great help. He has given me all the relevant info i need on Reginald Twittey & more. I found another brother of Reginald who was killed in WW1 called Thomas who i didnt know about. Thanks again. :)

    :)Hi Di when is the reunion or anniversary being celebrated ? I went to Canterbury Cross in the early 70s, Mr Hunt started his teaching career there & hes still there ! He taught me & made me stand outside the door a few times too (i can't think why !).

    Actually Rod thinking about it, i might be mistaken there. The working mans club was on Witton Road by six ways, more or less opposite the library on the corner of Albert Road/ Witton Road.
