    Derelict Buildings

I've just finished updating my site after months of forgetting my passwords!!!! https://www.freewebs.com/savage-designs/ Again, it's just a local and personal account of what us explorers do. I've tried to capture anything worth historical content, not just any old derelict building. Even sites...

    Sarehole Mill

I think the one you mean is here...... https://www.flickr.com/photos/8776781@N02/sets/72157607039742722/ It's the old Lalian's flour mill, and what a building it is!!! I have all the history for all the buildings I've been to, and the mill in Wolverhampton is a very interesting...

    Sarehole Mill

loisand, that sounds fantastic! Do you have it online to read? The best mill I've been inside is the now burned down JN Miller flour mill in wolverhampton. The place was an utter death trap, but there were still the overhead power wheels that drove the machinery in place. Great explore!

Missing our 3 black cats SO much!

Well!! What a response from you all, thank you all SO much for the lovely, kind comments. I'm happy to say that 2 of the cats(Missy and Rascal) were homed together as they were always always happiest that way. Thor was always happier on her own, and sort of resented the other 2 in a way. Funny...

Missing our 3 black cats SO much!

Thank you Jean for the kind comments. I'm afraid you will always find some people who make life difficult to live. I'm afraid that those kind of people are the cause of where we live now(great place) but we lack the loving animals we wanted to keep with us until nature took it's course. We have...

Missing our 3 black cats SO much!

In February of this year, because of one more mental next door neighbour in council accomodation, the wife, myself and our 4 month old girl were forced to move into private rented housing. Due to the landlord living next door and being on a main road, the last thing we could do was take the 3...

    Soho Foundry

Did anyone take any photo's of the Soho foundry? I always wanted to see the old Beans Foundry, but alas it's all been demolished now :(

    Sarehole Mill

Some great shots of this wonderful old mill. I've got an un-healthy fascination with old mills, and have visited some less well preserved examples over the last couple of years. Sarehole is a great place, and well worth a visit.

    Sutton Park today

I must admit I've not been draining before, but you come close at places like Wordsley Hospital and the old Co-op in Brum where access is through basements in some sections. Tight sqeezes are part of finding ways in without anything getting broken(on the building, not my body!!). Some of these...

    Sutton Park today

Lol, a couple of drainers there then! I'll have a look on some of the sites I frequent and see if there's any shots of where they were. Interesting place, might have to have a look!!!

    crocodile works

The Brandauers building is in very good shape inside, just very messy. I'm afraid there are no plans to do anything with it for the time being. The owners of the car wash out the front of the building are leased there for 3 years from what I can gather, and they are not the kind of people to...

Fantstic to see it as it was. Here it is before the fire from the air!

    Birmingham Co-op Belmont Row

Originally built to be used as the Co-operative furniture factory(there were many co-op buildings around, producing various items on different sites) but the use was later changed to be the manufacture and maintenance site for scales and weights. Some of the items produced at that time are still...

    Black Country Museum

I love the place! It's like a time warp back to an age that we are quickly forgetting. My wife's family are connected to the Newcommen engine there too, so that's a nice link! LOL
