    C brandaurs is saved...

This is such brilliant news!!! I'm so happy. Having never been inside, and only looking at other explorers pics, it would have been a crying shame to has lost this place. Lyn, if ever you need someone to fill in using the camera, give me shout! I'd chop my right leg off to get in there and have...

Building Relics of the Region (planned Video Production)

Totally gutted by this one. It's another long time lurker of an explore for me. I've never visited the site, but as it was on my doorstep, I didn't think it was going anywhere. The guys that run the car cleaning firm actually lock up the entire entrance to the building when they shut up shop, so...

Building Relics of the Region (planned Video Production)

Mark Williams would be the perfect guy for the job. He filmed in the old gun makers in Bournebrooke that closed down and I explored not long after. Carl Chinn, another good suggestion.

Building Relics of the Region (planned Video Production)

I can understand that point of view, no problem. The whole trespass law is confused and contrived, but I won't go into that here. These places for the most part need documenting in anyway they can before they are demolished. I'll have to go and have a look on my own I think!!! LOL!

Building Relics of the Region (planned Video Production)

Brandauers is one place I've been meaning to go and shoot for a while. Maybe we could go take a look inside, you video, and I'll photograph. It could be a good way of seeing the place for possibly the last time as I've heard work is soon going to start on the renovation there..................

Yeah, thanks Mike, I just found that link too. Would be nice to see photo's of the old foundry as it was, and any old photo's of what this building is that replaced it. Thanks for your input everyone! This I why I love sharing my photo's here as you always try and shed light on what places were...

Rover Spares and Repairs, Stirchley. Former Art-Deco buildings.

Hi all. My first explore for a while due to family commitments, but well got the bug again now. Just down the road from me, and super easy. Set off the road, so not easily seen, but has been derelict for some time. 2 buildings make up the estate, one of which is very secure and totally burned...

    Wythall transport museum

It's a great museum, and so full of people that care about what they are restoring. It's a breathe of fresh air to see some local antiques being restored to a usable state!

    Wythall transport museum

Hi all. Due to family responsibilities, I've not been out and about as usual for a while. The last few weeks have been quite good to me with photography in mind, and we went along to the transport museum last weekend with the little one. Included are some shots of the museum, and the family...

Birmingham Battery & Metal Co Selly Oak

Thanks for the comments Liz, and Astonian. As you drove past the huge expanse of land to the rear, and the retail park were where the original metal works stood. Sainsbury's purchased the land, and demolished the admin building despite a preservation order being in place. Since it was...

ATV Studios Broad Street Suffolk Street Queensway

There are lots of photo's on various websites from the inside of this place. The BBC even left stuff like 4x4's made up to look like ambulances after they filmed survivors. https://www.flickr.com/photos/adders0121/sets/72157619323331607/

    Wilmott Breeden, Stirchley

It's the Wilmott Breeden company that I'm mainly concerned about, and the toolroom staff that were there during the 80's.

Found here........... https://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=22965&strquery=Wilmot-Breeden "More and more individual plants have become linked to the great combines in the industry.
