    Been to see the |London show (Puppets is a silly description), and just been to see the film. Both absolutely brilliant. Yes I had a cry , Spielberg can do that, but there are no fancy tricks, just a good story well filmed. You must see it.

    My mates brother married into the Pitts, greengrocers . The fish and chip shop was owned by an expoliceman, and had a lovely Alsatian. Was the chemists, Gittins, and up the hill was a shoe shop and barbers. As kids when we went to have our hair cut he always did the adults firest and made us wait.

    Thanks for reposting Mrs Smiths shop. My Nan was Mrs Jones with a shop down the Rd opposite The Justice, Frankfort St. She used to get me to run up to Mrs Smiths shop if she had run out, ot take stuff if Mrs Smith had run out. Can you imagine Tesco doing the same for Asda?

I joined Lucas' at Gt King St as a commercial apprentice in 1965 and spent time in the computer room...all those puched cards and the carbon pencil...
