    Another c*ck up (Mountbattens folly) where we sacrificed the Canadians and afterwards claimed it was worth it as an excersise as a prelude to D Day. Almost on a par with the disaster in dorset pre d day when we couldn't stop the Yanks being massacred, rehearsing a landing, and the E Boats pounced.

    visited it in May I think . i was a regular Friday night customer, it had a brilliant fish menu, but witnessed it going down with various changes of management and fewer customers. last time met new landlord, had lunch for £2, only people in the building and I knew it couldn't survive.     That shop wasn't a grocers it was owned by my Nan Mrs Jones and was a draperers, with living accom at the back where she lived, The grocers was opposite which she owned. If you visit the Gt russell st Thread then the pic of the Justice must have been taken from the step of the grocers.
