    Scams: telephone, email, texts 2025

Hackers & scammers should be shot at dawn. I was going to say hung at dawn but that`s a bit grisly. If these hackers are clever enough to scam us, then why haven`t we got someone clever enough to stop them in the first place.?

BAB,when are you too old to be 'Bab'

When i joined the army at 17 & i heard recruits saying ` darling or my lovely` i must admit i was a tad confused. Here in Co.Durham such terms of endearment are ` pet or hinney`. When someone asks my name i say ` you can call me `sir` just to see the confused look on their face.

    IN OUR GARDENS 2025

My artificial grass never needs attention Except to sweep a few leaves off. Never any weeds growing through either. Why are some people so snobbish about " that`s not grass " as one of my neighbours said!

    Computer help please 2025

Thanks for all the advice. It turns out it was something really simple, wind noise from my video doorbell, though why after a couple of years it`s suddenly started interfering with my pc ?

    Computer help please 2025

Hi jukebox, it seems to be from the computer. I bought a usb soundcard which hasn`t helped at all. I hope i don`t have to take the back off to check the fan? I`m tempted to take it to a computer repair shop & probably get ripped off.

    Computer help please 2025

Thanks Mort, The pc ( aio ) is not very old, less than a year so i doubt if it`s a cooling fan problem? I`m going to try a usb sound card to see if it improves things. I do miss my music, tried listening to A Lark Ascending & it sounded like a Lark with a sore throat!

    Computer help please 2025

I have sound problems on my pc. It sounds like wind interference & I've exhausted my very limited skills trying to solve the problem. Any help is appreciated.

    1911 Census: 'feeble-minded'

Through the 70s/80s we fostered a young lad classed as ESN. I taught him the best i could to read & write. He was a lovely lad & still keeps in touch today.

    From Our Gardens 2025

Cabbage/Small whites may prefer cabbage to lay their eggs, but in my garden they prefer radish leaves { probably because i don`t grow cabbage } Red Admiral butterflies seem to be zooming round my garden as if they are on `something` Maybe a neighbour has got a cannabis plant growing!

I`ve watched the video, sadly couldn`t find her. Probably something innocent like practicing to be a traffic warden.
