I`ve never watched Peaky Blinders but i get the impression that it`s violent, which begs the question.....why are some women so fascinated with these violent characters. Just reading some of the comments, ladies seem to be enthralled with these mobsters? I am mystified & will probably get flamed...

Hi Roz-Moo, i`m not sure of the house number but it was a corner house near the sandy hills. I lost touch with Mike when i joined the army, but i know he moved to Spain when he finished with his dads business ( his dad owned a lot of clubs in Brum ) I lived just round the corner in Doidge road.

Thanks Pete. I have a desktop & a laptop. Laptop is fairly new but doesn`t have ethernet port. I wonder if i can get an adapter to plug the ethernet cable into hdmi & use the hdmi port on the laptop. Probably not.

No mate, you`re not preaching to grandma. Just someone who doesn`t even know how to get inside a pc. I may have to ask her indoors if she`ll lend me some dosh to buy a new (2nd hand ) pc. Many thanks anyway.

I have just tried that & it says " no operation can be carried out while media is disconnected" It is connected & enabled.

From router to pc i`ve only tried port 1 of 2. 50m of cable. I will try jukeboxes advice & if i bugger up my pc in doing so i shall go round to his house & throw a brick thru his window.:)

Yes i did see that icon. I disabled the ethernet & then enabled it. Still no good.

Check all drivers, every one is working ok.

Yes i have tried a different cable, still no joy. My pc is quite old so maybe that`s the problem !
