Bells on bicycles. We often walk around our local reservoir which is also used by cyclists. When a bike approaches from behind, instead of a nice melodic bell telling you to move over, you get someone yelling " coming through". At least they do say thank you.

    The English Language.

That`s what my teacher used to say. Silly bugger suggested i go into journalism. The only interest i had in journalism was reading the stories in the newspaper my fish & chips was wrapped in !

Basins with left & right taps. I hate the modern basins with just one tap in the middle, always banging my head on the damn thing, & a cabinet above the basin is just as bad. Maybe it`s just clumsy me !

Walked up the garden this morning to find all my cherries gone ( there wasn`t many in the first place ) They were ( I thought ) securely netted, but i suspect a Blackbird has found it`s way thru the netting & enjoyed scoffing the lot but as my wife said, they`ve gone...

    First Driving Lesson

Good luck with learning to drive young`un. My latest car is an automatic & i love it, no more fiddling around with gears. I took my test in 1960 in a one ton lorry with a snatch gearbox, & failed miserably. Aced it the second test. I should imagine driving in Brum is not a lot of fun

    Where was your first holiday?

My childhood was idyllic so every day was a holiday. What a shame we have to grow up !

What a lot of fuss over a couple of ( very ) hot days. Back in `76 it might not have been quite so hot, but it lasted several weeks. It would be nice to have a swimming pool in the garden instead of a kiddies paddling pool which i use to keep my plants hydrated. Only 24c tomorrow so i`ll have to...

    Computer Security.

I use my army number to unlock my pc. I also have Norton 360, Malwarebytes premium & Nord vpn. I still don`t feel entirely safe.

    Our childhood toys

Catapults were deemed essential when guarding your bonfire heap from marauding gangs. Beats me how no-one got badly hurt. Bows & arrows were too dangerous & no-one i knew could afford a luxurious Diana air pistol.
