Well done Frothy,used to pass that 4 or 5 times a day when I worked in Erdington.

Used to go to a firm in Porchester Street called J.R.Pearson, used to make nameplates and such, this was in the middle 50's.

Great guy, met him often when he came to our pub in Brighton,afraid Digbeth now is one of the few remaining areas of old Brum left.

Used to go there often when I came out of the Yew Tree or Ring of Bells.

I remember Whites ,Oliver Street very well, just round the corner from Cromwell Street, no photos though, used to walk past nearly every day.

It's in the photo over the top of the arch to the right.

I make the letters out to be -oland, no idea what they could be part of.

No problem Vivienne, I love ghost signs being a signwriter myself.

This was taken from the canal yesterday, I can just make out Eng. works, but not much else, wander if Mike could tell us who was in it, the building is in Icknield Street.

Just for fun, two chocolate bars I designed.

I did one in Brighton, attached to our pub, JUBILEE STREET, I did the letters in gold leaf, expecting a big backlash off the council, never heard a thing, and that was 15 years ago.
