Good music to listen to on U Tube

The only saving grace was that there was only one vocal chorus! :scream: Maurice

Good music to listen to on U Tube

John, Words I rarely listen to and never remember. If I can't, due to old age, remember the title of a piece of music, if I've ever played it, I can always remember the key and write down the melody line. I can just about remember the first verse of the national anthem, but not Land of Hope &...

    MUSIC/TV/FILM QUIZ

Thanks, Lynn, but watching TV was something I did occasionally while doing something else! And I just don't have a clue about that car. It may be a series I have never watched and some certainly didn't appeal. Maurice

John, Not much on the internet about Van Phillips and I must admit that he is a new name to me. I'll have a look at the Alan Dell video tomorrow. Like you, I don't go much on the vocalist, but the band is OK for the time. Cheers. Maurice

    Death certificate.

Not a war death as the only one is a James Peter Drinkwater who was killed in 1917 aged 43 and was a Canadian. Maurice

    Good classical music on YouTube

Although I did give music lessons occasionally, Lynn, I was for many years a modern jazz pianist, who undertook ordinary commercial gigs as and when financially necessary, though I did have a classical background. I played professionally for about five & half years, but when children arrived I...

    MUSIC/TV/FILM QUIZ

Pedro, The only car in that picture is not a police car, but I won't say what because it was an American series. Otherwise I am still completely in the dark! Maurice

    Birth Certs

The .pdf option only applied it they were over, I think, 100 years ago for the event. Printed one ordinary postage rate is £11. The price includes postage to anywhere in the world. Maurice

    MUSIC/TV/FILM QUIZ

Not one of mine, Pedro, and it's not one of things I notice. I'd be useless in a police enquiry! :) EDIT: Just taken a look, and apart from a multi-coloured weather phenomenon, that's the only one I recognise. :) Maurice

    MUSIC/TV/FILM QUIZ

As I haven't watched TV for 16 years, I won't even be making any guesses about TV shows. :) Maurice

    Clothes & shoes of yesteryear

Pete, That's genuine & has never been shaved off since, merely trimmed, but , of course, it has gone white. :) My mate Roger does occasionally shave his off and although we exchange emails most days, I have no idea of his beard state at the moment. Mine started off like this:- and gradually...

    Good classical music on YouTube

And here's the same young man with his 8 Levels of Chopin video - you will, of course, recognise the second piece as you posted it yourself, Lynn :) Maurice

    Good classical music on YouTube

Yes, nice change from minor to major in that first few bars, Lynn, and then he uses that same device thoughout that piece. Here we go with a Russian-born Austrian pianist playing Polish music on an Italian piano! This one used to drive me crazy in my younger day because you're playing, in the...

    Hot water bottles

I've seen all three in my time, but I always termed the metal ones as dangerous. The crock ones were OK to warm the bed up an hour before you got in and then stand it on the floor. Rubber ones had that peculiar smell. On the whole you can't beat an electric blanket. Maurice
