    I remember shops on the right hand side of the road heading towards the Swan . I think one was owned by a Mrs Walker and iam sure she sold fire lighters and bundles of kindling . There was also a Taxi company on the same side.

    Please correct me if i am wrong was there a motor dealer called Deerings because i'm sure we hired a car off them in the 1960s to go on holiday. Also was Corpus Christie School not far away.
