    The Cross Guns, Newtown

The Cross Guns, Rodway Close, Newtown was a Davenports pub. I found an interesting account of the pub by Jane Fletcher who once ran the pub. Her story is contained in the link below: https://www.closedpubs.co.uk/warwickshire/birmingham_b19_crossguns.html

Can't contain myself, this is the photograph I have been searching for for years! The car parked outside is a Ford Capri Mk 1, so it dates it around 1972/3.

    The Windsor Pub Cannon St.

The lounge at the Needless Alley entrance did have a tartan carpet but you're quite correct in saying the downstairs lounge at The Golden Eagle also had a tartan carpet.

    2 to identify please

There was 'The Vine' at the top of Bracebridge Street near Aston Road that my father drank in. The Vine is the white building that sticks out on the right of photograph beside the first parked car. Aston Road can be seen on the far right of the photograph.

info on Barbarella's and Peppermint Place nightclubs

Barbarella's was definitely in Cumberland Street. Eddie Fewtrell did own a club on John Bright Street called Rebecca's, it was on three floors.
