Me too. Catching the No 8 bus home in the fog, it was quicker to walk. I went to the 'Gay Tower' regularly in 1964.

Bellamy's garage stood on the corner of King Edward's road and Edward st. The garage closed in 2003, I went along shortly afterwards and took some pics. There is also a pic from a cutting in the Birmingham Mail.

There was a 'White's garage and removals' in Great lister st.

No I don't Sue. It seemed that when we were kids, marsh and Baxters were everywhere.

Here I go again, sticking my neck out. I think the photographer is stood under the bridge at the junction of Watery lane and Coventry road. On the right is what used to be the the 'Council' rubbish yard. Just a thought.
