    I went to Dorrington road infants and juniors. I remember the bench style desks and big white enamel jugs of cocoa. Miss Kirkham was our Headmistress in the Infants Mr Aspinall in the Juniors.

    Winfields at Tower Hill was where we bought our fishing gear including a pint of maggots when we fished the Canal at Tower Hill late fifties.

    P.S.V. Badge

    Had to surrender mine when I moved to the north east DD52788 was then issued an AA badge. Bought a copy DD badge of a Facebook group last year including the horse shoe clip for £25. Passed my single decker test in 1966 then PCV test in 1998, slightly more difficult :)

    I started work at 14 as Birthday fell 2nd September during the School holidays. Retired at 50 then found it was too early as missed workmates comradeship so returned to work, entirely different job, and fully retired at 58. My spare time was taken up looking after my Grandchildren, house...

    Ernie worked part time at the petrol pumps for Stockland Garage at Stockland green when I worked there, he was also on the doors at the Queens head Erdington, great bloke and a real Character.
