    Didn't the old buses used to have safety straps to put on to stop people jumping off but the conductors never bothered with them most of the time.

    Yes nico my sister went on to become asecretary and liaison officer. I remember making mother's day cards and xmas cards at primary school and also a calendar every year. Things were so simple back then. Regards nijinski

    There is a 12 year old mary hughes born in ireland living in birmingham in the 1841 census that might be worth checking for more info. That would make her around 24 when she married.

    I found when researching my ancestry on the irish census of 1901 and 1911, I found a few differences between the two especially when compared with family search. There are also some differences between some of the censuses of the UK which I found while researching my wife's ancestry.
