No but ancestors were John Maney born 1835 Limerick and James Maney born 1861 Birmingham, just checked but i haven't got the number just Hoilday Street 1871.:emmersed:

Finding this fascinating because my Gt and Gt Gt Grandparents were living in Holiday Street in 1871 but i can't seem to see much housing on the maps that have been posted unless i've overlooked them:rolleyes:

I have family connections with someone billeted at barracks that were said to be in Moor Lane in the war, would they have been these at the Lucas Ground? and was it something to do with the home guard? and are there any pics out there?:emmersed:. Found this shot of Spring Rd...

I was very impressed, half the size of Brum but seems to have twice as much to offer. The disused docks area around Bootle seems to let it down a little though.

Re: Old street pics.. You can see the Archway here with the eye hospital a good distance to the right.. https://goo.gl/maps/QBePp Not sure the Hospital have any real plans for the building that's left as there are plans to build a super hospital in Smethwick that will replace much of this site...
