    I remember Vic he was a shaper in G dept. His colleagues on the section were Stan Flaherty and Ron Bowley. I always remember Vic having a brand new Ford Cortina when they first came out I think it had a registration plate with A at the end, the first time year letters were introduced in the UK.

    I can recall Charlie Moseley but I cannot put a face to the name nor what Dept. he worked in. I was there from 1958-1967 and when I first started there was supposedly almost a 1000 employees. Do you have any photo's of your grandad that you could post on this thread?

    Too right prices went up sylvia it to me was one of the biggest cons of my lifetime, the other being going metric. I think those of us of a certain age still convert back to old money subconsciously.

    The bus that is the second slide in the show came as a shock for me, the man on the upper deck looking at, presumably the cameraman is my dad!!!!! I did at the time I first saw it email Mark Norton and he sent me the original picture that he had scanned from a slide which had much better definition.

    Frank Moss eventually left and opened up a newsagents on the quay in Looe.He used to be in the shop in the morning and early evening and his wife did afternoons whilst Frank was golfing at Looe Bin Down golf course.
