    Yes being an altar boy had its moments, some priests wanted more wine, some more water, getting up at 6 for 7.30 mass was a challenge. Opening up the church, shafts of sunlight, praying Jesus woudln't appear, laying out the vestments, for the mass, for a congregation of 4.

    I was a pupil at St. Peters RC School from 1949 until 1953, I was taught by Miss Miller, Miss Higgins and Mrs Lester. Every May there was an a May procession, the boys carried the May crownand the train, and the girls cast rose petals in front of the statue of Mary.
