    Moseley Kings Heath Line

This refers to steam trams, not railways. The "Kings Heath depot" referred to was in Silver Street, and the building later became the 'International Stock' warehouse.

    New Street Station From 1854 - 1966

Lines electrified, so 1968 or after.

I understand that these sidings were also used in steam tram days for collecting coke (as fuel for the steam tram locos) for delivery to the various depots.

    Steam Locos

A new one of this type is currently under construction, it will be no. 2007, named "Prince of Wales". https://www.a1steam.com/prince-of-wales/home

Does anything get done on time or in budget nowadays? I think not.

    Canals of Birmingham

No buffering on my (old & cantankerous) PC, but I did "watch it on Youtube". Interesting film.

    Smethwick

Had a few meals (and pints!) in there. But - it's Netherton, not Smethwick....

    The Swan Yardley

The type of bus & cars suggests 1950s or1960s.

As an aside - "Jamboree" is derived from Jambo!, the Swahili for hello. Robert Baden-Powell spent a considerable amount of time in West Africa in the 1880s then again in the late 1890s. He deliberately chose the name "jamboree" where attendees were warmly welcomed attending this first (1920) Boy...

Creation of the West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive

Wheel chocks were a legal requirement to be carried on PSVs, and conductors were required (supposed) to place them under a wheel to prevent the bus rolling away. Many did not bother, but this must have been a concientious one - or perhaps there was an inspector lurking nearby, checking up!

There are still quite a few around with enthusiasts and collectors, and of course the restored buses that carry them.

Scams: telephone, email, texts 2023, 2024

"A new fraud squad will also replace the current Action Fraud service with 500, rather than the current 120 investigators". A few more coppers on the beat would not go amiss, either. Quite how they plan to ban the calls which often come from India and surrounding countries, I'd like to see.

The Rotunda had one as well, but the P&M office one was very close to your route to work so that gets my vote too.

An Edwin Artiss aged 52 death was registered 2nd quarter 1922, Conway (vol 11b page 637a). The 1911 census shows him at 4 Raddlebarn Road with wife Annie (or Ann in the Dec 1886 marriage record) with nine of their ten children. He had been a Foreman Copper & Brass Caster, perhaps he had been...

    toll house at smethwick

I think it was the pattern of tollhouse used for the modern (vandalised) one.

    toll house at smethwick

Here is a page on turnpike toll houses, I expect canal ones would be similar although many now equipped with living accommodation. http://www.turnpikes.org.uk/Tollhouse%20design.htm

    toll house at smethwick

The one on the toll house? There would have been a fireplace in there for warmth (and possibly cooking or warming food). The wall furrthest from the door seems an obvious place for it.

Well, that answers how they got ontp the islands! The original one at the site of the later replica was quadrilateral, though.
