Soloman died September Quarter 1929 Birmingham N. 6d 481. Perhaps it may be worth obtaining his death certificate as this should give the cause of death.

    Adams Richard gardener Heathfield Hall

Do you mean Heathfield Hall which was in Handsworth. Was also called Heathfield House too. Any other info for Richard? Date/place of birth, census records? If he is on the 1841 or 1851 census it may give an occupation.

    WW2 Bombing in Yardley Brum

Mother in Law has lived in Yardley (near the Yew Tree) most of her life and remembers the raid in Vera Road. My husband's Step-Grandfather was a Policeman on duty at Hay Mill Police Station when houses in Gleneagles Road were completely demolished. This was 24th August 1940. On the 12...

    Family Tree Layout

You can change the font but you will find that the tree will be printed on more than one sheet of paper. It is a bit awkward sticking it together but I overlap to make it a bit easier to cut. I always use a steel rule and a scalpel to cut, scissors are not really any good. You can change...

    Family Tree Layout

I keep an old copy of FTM 2004 (and an old computer on which to run it!). Not sure about FTM 2005 but with 2004 you can print the tree however your wish and include what facts you want too. You just have to fiddle with the settings.

    Lickey Hills

We used to get on the bus that went along Bristol Road to the Lickey's. When we got off the bus there was an arcade with "one armed bandits" and "The Laughing Policeman" outside. I had a look on Google maps just to see where it all was but it has changed so much and I can't remember. Does...

    The Ice Cream Man

I remember the Ice Cream Man used to come down Hall Road to the corner of Ask Road. Every night at 8.45 on the dot. He sold the soft ice cream, the only place I think you could get it was the ice cream man. (I know now that it is nothing like real ice cream). By the way the name 99 comes...
