    Christian names

Bill, I have found the same too, but if you look on FMP, the Benjamin Adams born in 1884, has the 2nd name of Charles, so would be likely to be your grandfather I would think. You can I tjink request the birth certificate stating that you only require it if the fathers details are correct on it...

I don't like Star City either, find the general atmosphere oppressive there. Fond memories of the Showcase though, my friend dropped her box of maltesers during a film........................... Was ages before we went again lol. You could always come to Tamworth Terry! Sue

    Moseley Hall Childrens Hospital

How funny, we were talking about Moseley Hall at work this week too, one of my colleagues remembers it as a childrens hospital, complete with the farm animals and produce, but by the time I trained, it was a geriatric rehabilitation hospital, lovely placement with all sorts of gardening and...

    Chamberlain Square Place

Am just watching the implication that the council may sell off some of the old buildings to fund the payouts for the wronged female council workers - as an aside , the Conservative man said there were also investments in businesses such as the NEC and airport - mmm, lets see, what will the...

    Snow Hill Station

I'd never really thought about how the trains crossed town from one side to the other, have found this fascinating! The brickwork is spectacular even more so when you think that there wouldn't have been any of the mechanical aids there are today. The long tunnel must be eerie, the one coming...

    Chamberlain Square Place

And Tamworth proves that again, I'm sure the town would get more visitors, when they have seen the Castle, if the planners had left all of its glorious old buildings instead of replacing them with concrete blocks!! You only have to look at Stratford, Liverpool, Chester etc. Sue
