    I worked in a drop forge place years ago the factory was called Winn Timmins and they made hand tools , pliers and grips etc . I think it was in Commercial Street but I'm not sure certainly somewhere close , they traded under Heart Brand , I wonder if this was the same Winn

    Hi Mike and Lindyloo I had a look at the date plaque and there is either no inscription or it has been covered by render or paint . It's the same as the street view just a few scratches

    Hi Lindyloo and thanks for looking I have borrowed another 1905 map courtesy of Lynne Robinson and it looks like the tram depot could have been built in the grounds of Rose Cottage , I think

    Can anyone tell me when these houses in Yardley Road were built they are shown on the 1916 map but not on a 1905 map and are next to the tram depot .There was a cottage demolished on the site of the tram depot Rose Cottage on Yardley road was there on the 1905 map This map courtesy of Lynne Robinson

    Although you can't see it Callenders was directly behind the bus corner of Oldknow Road and Waverley Road the dole office was last right and we used to get to the aquadocks through a passage there
