It wasn't sheltered accommodation Elle they it was a terrace of houses I'm not sure if they were council houses or private landlords so you would either be given it by the council or apply to the landlord .
Here's a couple I haven't seen before John Bright Street and the entrance to Greens Village , the old Irish quarter ,and Staniforth Street only seen the corner of this before
Something I'm not sure about ,I came across this picture of Castle Street , ran from High Street to Moor Street , The caption says it's the Typhoo Tea factory at the top does anyone know if it was ?
