    Hi, I have just discovered quite a few Ansells Argosy magazines in a box in our loft. Is there any brewery museum interested. There is a photo of a football team looks 70s also a bunch of fishermen. I have also found some transport beer tickets.

    Yes I remember your dad from my days at Aldridge Depot, didn't know him well because he was on the bottles and me the drays we didn't seem to mix much. Nice man something to do with country and western I think, The Silver Saddle comes to mind. Sorry to hear your news.

    I don't know if I told anyone on this site that when I was a kid living in the back to backs in Pigott street off Bath Row, I climbed into our loft and found an army rifle, I since found out from by brother in law who was in the Britsh Army it was a Martini Henry dated in 1890s. What a find.

    We forget how brave these boys were. We owe them dearly, my dad was 19, when I was a kid I found his jungle hat along with other stuff in a box under the stairs.

    Great photo John, we used to live at the bottom right corner, as a kid I used to drop off the high part of the wall into someone's garden. It was quite a fall for a young lad under nine years of age, what a memory, thanks. Ps I can still make out the little gate entrance near the bottom corner...

    Thanks for that, I have seen it before, it's a photo before my time. When I attended in the middle 50s that one had been demolished and a new one built, I think the school at that time was a grammar school. Cheers.
