    Ok I have altered the border now and it looks a bit more like it. I never classed Stud Lane as Stechford though, I always thought it was Glebe Farm / Lea Village. Terry

    I have just took an image of Stechford off Google Earth and tried to draw a border, as you can see I am not to sure about the east side of Stechford, but I can see that the Yardley Arms could indeed come under Stechford. Have I got the border right so far? Terry

    There used to be a local weekly paper called the Castle Bromwich News back in the early/mid 60's. I think it was produced from a shop in Hurst Lane, Shard End. though I am not too sure about that. Terry

    Hi, 1 Western Rd is what is now known as City Hospital, so he died in what used to be known as Dudley Rd hospital. As for where he was buried I cannot help you there, but someone may come along who knows.

    I don't know if they had a sports ground, I'm sure someone will know. What I do know is they had fishing rights on the river Teme at Ludlow. I was a member of their fishing club and we used to go there often. Terry

    I can't remember it Alan. I was there at the same time as that bloke who sat in a barrel at the top of a pole on the ice rink. We used to talk to him (well shout) from the windows that was right opposite him. Terry

    Please find attached 2 pictures, one is of my mother when she worked in the press shop during the coronation, she worked there for a long time. The other is when I worked in the spinning shop in 1964. I'm trying to remember names but the only one I can come up with is Stan Rose or Rhodes.
