    The Lion King, Birmingham Hippodrome

Looking at those prices again I notice there are an extra 3 seats added, how, I dont know. It would still cost about £235 pounds though. Not paying it, though plenty of people seem to be. Shame really. Terry

    The Lion King, Birmingham Hippodrome

I would have liked to have taken 2 of my grandchildren to see this show, so I looked for the cheaper options for 4 seats and chose an afternoon / Wednesday performance. I almost had a heart attack when I saw the cost and they wanted an extra 2 quid to help pay for the upkeep of the theatre...

    The cuttle

I was a regular visitor there and if I remember correctly an ice cream van used to park up there. It was there that I got my confidence while learning to swim, although it was'nt deep there was a couple of little deepish holes where you had to be careful. Terry

    Castle Bromwich clubs

Hi Redcroft 286 or should I say Dave, we used to play snooker and drink together at the Castle Bromwich Mens Club back in the late 70's early 80's. You took me back to your house once on the front of Redcrofts where we had a game of snooker and a drink, don't know if you will remember that or...

    Old street pics..

Re picture in post #1786. I am pretty sure that the Park Rd pic is the one in Hockley. It is taken from almost the corner of Whitmore St and looking towards Handsworth. The Royal Exchange pub is hidden by the cart on the left and just in front of it on the left is Goode St. One of the shops on...

    Old street pics..

This is a picture of me leaning on a car that was parked outside 140. As you can see 128 would be behind me just about on the bend. Terry

    Old street pics..

I disagree with with the caption on this picture. I lived at 1/140 Park Rd,which was opposite Whitmore St. Walking up Park Rd from the Flat the house numbers were getting higher, so 127 & 128 would have been before where I lived, and I can safely say that there were no houses like that near to...

    St Marys School Wills Street

My fathers class photo. He is in the 3rd row, on right standing in front of his teacher. I believe the school is called St Mary R.C and it is/was located near Hunters Rd, Hockley. My father was born 1914 so I estimate the photos date mid to late 1920's.
