I would have liked to have taken 2 of my grandchildren to see this show, so I looked for the cheaper options for 4 seats and chose an afternoon / Wednesday performance. I almost had a heart attack when I saw the cost and they wanted an extra 2 quid to help pay for the upkeep of the theatre...

I was a regular visitor there and if I remember correctly an ice cream van used to park up there. It was there that I got my confidence while learning to swim, although it was'nt deep there was a couple of little deepish holes where you had to be careful. Terry

My fathers class photo. He is in the 3rd row, on right standing in front of his teacher. I believe the school is called St Mary R.C and it is/was located near Hunters Rd, Hockley. My father was born 1914 so I estimate the photos date mid to late 1920's.
