    Unfortunately the pub has been closed for at least the last two years. I personally don't think it will ever open as a pub again. but hopefully the building can be saved, maybe with a change of use. Fingers crossed.

    Your right Paul, they were ok after the improvments, but they were never going to be able to maintain them in the long term. I spent 24 years in one in paget rd and was very happy there. Brian

    I am now the proud owner of another of Eric's paintings depicting the Lad in the lane pub in Erdington. It was commissioned by Frothy and given to me as an early Christmas present, thanks Chris and Cath. And thank you Eric for taking the time to paint it for me, it's fabulous.
