    Love the photos even though i never came from this part of Brum, never seen any photos taken in my area of Hodge Hill around the area of Millinghton, Oakdale, Erminghton, Chipperfield area cant remember Parents and Neighbours took photos of there streets , i only have a couple of family photos...

    Love looking at these then and now even though did not come from the area , but parents used to visit friends in the area back in sixtys and early seventys and loved catching the buses from Cas Brom in to town and out again

    Cant comment on WW2 Records for the RAF , But my Wife wanted to get her Fathers WW2 Army Records, along with the application form, Birth and Death Certificate and fees (only can pay for by Cheque ) she sent off to Glasgow for them she knew that it would take about 6 months (thats what they say)...

    Joined the navy 1972 at the old Naval Careers office facing Bingley hall , there was a cafe there and its where my Mom gave me a packet of 20 Sovereign cigarettes for the train journey to Ipswich did not know she new i smoked as a 15 year old.

    They had there Surgery in a house on the Coleshill Road then moved to present premises over the road from clock garage where the 3 generation grandson is a Doctor, and if i am correct they have a another surgery in Hazelhurst Road off the chester road, As you used Chitnis did you live close by...
