    Paul,Thank you very much for that information ,Iwill write to to the Regimental Museum.He was married in Ireland and his son was born there would the army have records of his marriage and his sons birth.Do you know where I could obtain these records? Barbara

    My great grandfather served in the 89th foot in Ireland from 1847 to 1852.While in Ireland he married a local girl and they had a son.Please can anyone tell me where in Ireland he may have been based and where would I gain access to his records ?Thank you Barbara Ingram
