    I wonder how many of you can remember the horse drawn bakers delivery carts, of Purus, Scribbens,& Rolands Bread?to just name a few many's the time when as a kid I had a ride on them, and the smell of new bread was delicious, and the old horse just knew where to stop no need to shout...

    Book : Brum & Brummies Carl Chinn

    Just finished #1 of Carl Chinns book's on "Brum & Brummies", and now on #2, very well written,bit expensive £13-95, but good paper,and great photo's hence the high price I guess. Also have #3 & #4 all Xmas pressies ;) O0

    Have just come across my mother's old Wrenson's grocery book .4lb sugar 2/- 1/2lb tea 1-7d 1lb Stork margerine 1-3d packet salt 3.1/2d 2small tins tomatoes 8d Lux toilet soap 8d and so it goes on .Her total grocery bill came to an average of £3-0-0 this was in the 1960/70s

    There is nothing wrong with the way us "Brummies" speak I read somewhere that Shakespears play were written in a "Brummie" accent,if it was good enough for him, it's good enough for me as for the way "Scouser's talk I think it great Anyway I am proud of the way I talk,if you don't like it? too...
