    Pavements and walkways

    I was having a conversation this evening with my son,and he seems to think that he has somewhere in B'ham,saw iron curbstones, does anyone know of such things? myself, I don't remember seeing any, but that don't prove anything I wonder if he is getting mixed up with the tram lines???

    Di what happened to the No6 tram lines? very good drawing, remember it well also "Kings Cafe" by the dog track used to take all the tea cans to be filled there. "Dodd's" would be the shop where I bought my tools Remember "Toy's chemist on corner of Wellington Rd?

    I was told,don't know how true , that some poor soldiers used to eat the cordite stips in order to work their ticket out of the forces, I know for a fact that "Brasso" was also drunk for the same reason

    Somewhat like postie, when I was a kid during WW2 we could from some source or other get hold of 303 rounds,and what we did was extract the bullet with the aid of pliers, empty the cordite,which we light with a match, then being still at school,we would jam the cartridge in between the desk...
