    The British Army

    After more than 60 years,a memorial to the Auxiiary Territorial service (A.T.S.) is now at The National Memorial Arboretum. The sculpture is of a life size ATS girl in uniform and was created by the sculptor Andy DeComyn who also did the sculpture of The Shot at Dawn Memorial at the Arboretum

    Being in the shopping area this morning, and seeing the kids with the mobile phones, M P 3, s, and all the latest gizmo's, set me thinking How old was  I before I even had a watch? I can only remember having one when I bought one while serving over seas at the ripe old age of 18 now kids...

    Re: Replies Here Loved that sound Rod, I used to watch them being tested at castle bromwich Aerodrome, They say that when they "tipped" them all manner of bits and pieces (i.e. washers,nuts,evenspanners) would fly around the cockpit
